Along with globalization and technological advances, collaboration between universities across countries is becoming increasingly necessary. One form of cooperation that is being implemented by Japanese Language Education at Ganesha Education University is the Virtual Joint Teaching program. Ganesha Education University’s Japanese Language Education Study Program is proud to announce an academic partnership with Ohkagakuen University through this program. The Virtual Joint Teaching Program allows Ganesha Education University Japanese Language Education students to speak with native speakers from partner universities without having to leave their home country. This initiative not only broadens students’ academic horizons but also facilitates global cultural and knowledge exchange.
The Virtual Joint Teaching program was carried out by 15 students in the class of 2022 from the Japanese Language Education study program at Ganesha Education University. During the program, students are supervised by Sada Akemi from Ohkagakuen University and Ni Nengah Suartini, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., from Ganesha Education University. Students hold discussions related to simple topics, namely introducing themselves, introducing their families, talking about things that are happening, hobbies, and others. Students gain various benefits from this program. Students can practice speaking skills in Japanese by communicating with native speakers. Through discussions on various topics, students also carry out cultural exchanges so that students can develop a broader global perspective.
