Students from the Undiksha Japanese Language Education Study Programme succeeded in making achievements in an international competition event, namely the Expo CU-OCIIP Creativity & Innovation The Pathway To Sustainable Development 2021 which took place in Nigeria from August 25 – September 30, 2021. Student on behalf of Andi Prasetya (Japanese Language Education) managed to get a gold medal at the event together with a team consisting of Gede Sandita Widiada (Electrical Engineering Education Study Programme) as the team leader, Kadek Reda Setiawan Suda who is an alumnus of Electrical Engineering Education, Ni Putu Ayu Yuli Sumadianti (Bachelor of Accounting Study Programme), and Luh Putu Restu Adi Utami (Master of English Education Study Programme).
The work that was contested at that time was called “TESISS: Electrical Installation Trainer Inbow Portable” which is a learning medium for small (portable) electrical fields without compromising basic learning to facilitate students to carry it everywhere. In addition, the electrical scheme is also clearly illustrated on the acrylic board.
Of course, many obstacles must be overcome in this event, including competing with other participants from 28 countries, ranging from the Asian continent, Europe, and even the American continent. Besides the qualified work, other abilities are also tested and become a benchmark for success. One of them was the mastery, understanding, and use of foreign languages ??which of course became a form of obligation for all team members who competed at that time. Moreover, ability in public speaking, as well as good team collaboration and coordination should be mastered well.
Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for this achievement to the student team and supervisor, Dr. Nyoman Santiyadnya, S.Si., M.T. “This is such a good thing to be proud of. We really appreciate it. Hopefully in the future more students will succeed in achieving more achievements,” he said. He also added that achievements are very important to support university rankings as well as to accelerate the realization of Undiksha’s vision of “Become a Leading University Based on the Tri Hita Karana Philosophy in Asia in 2045″ as well as to increase student competitiveness.
